A 51 year old man has appeared in court, charged in connection with a stabbing in Longford Town.
A man in his thirties was allegedly attacked at an apartment on Strokestown Road at around ten o'clock on Friday night.
The man who received stab wounds is being treated in Mullingar Hospital for his injuries, which are non life-threatening.
Two men were arrested including a man in his 40s who's been released without charge.
The 51 year old was before a special sitting of Longford District Court last night.
