A man has been arrested after herbal cannabis worth over half a million euro was seized at Dublin Airport.
Revenue officers seized 27.2 kilos of the drug, worth €544,000, yesterday.
The drugs were seized when a passenger was stopped and his luggage searched following his arrival off a flight from Johannesburg, via Dubai.
The cannabis was discovered concealed within vacuum packed packages in his luggage.
A man in his 60s was arrested and is currently detained at a garda station in north County Dublin, where he can be held for up to a week.
