A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the discovery of the body of an elderly man in Kerry.
The victim has been named locally as Patrick O'Mahony from Castlemaine, with his post- mortem taking place at University Hospital Kerry.
He was found with suspected gunshot wounds.
