A man in his 30s is due in court after Gardai and Revenue seized cannabis worth an estimated €2 million.
A man in his 30s has been charged following the seizure of approximately 100 kilograms of cannabis in Co Clare.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of €2 million, were discovered on Friday as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Revenue's Customs Service, and the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit.
The man was arrested and detained under drug trafficking legislation before being formally charged.
He is due to appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court at 5pm this afternoon (May 9th).
