It will stay in place until the end of July.
Mandatory hotel quarantine is set to be extended until the end of July.
The measure is due to end on June 8th, but the government will today propose it lasts for another eight weeks.
The Dáil will vote on the motion - with the measure currently applying to 50 countries and territories.
Fine Gael senator Regina Doherty says the extension's needed.
