The Environment Minister says energy supply in Ireland will be "very tight" for the next few years.

A report from Eirgrid to be published this week is expected to warn the electricity system is being stretched beyond its limits.

Engineers for the company are also undergoing training to manage potential blackouts this winter.

Minister Eamon Ryan says the system will be under pressure for some time to come
