A man has appeared in court in Northern Ireland, charged with the murder of Chloe Mitchell.
A search operation for the 21 year old - who was missing for the last week - was stood down yesterday, following the discovery of remains in Ballymena.
26 year old Brandon John Rainey from James Street in the County Antrim town, appeared via video link at Ballymena Magistrates' Court today, charged with murdering Ms. Mitchell between June 2nd and 5th.
A barrister for the defendant said his client has "acute mental health difficulties".
Mr. Rainey denied the allegations against him.
He's been remanded in custody until July 6th.
A second man - 34 year old Ryan Johnston Gordon, from Nursery Close in Ballymena - was charged with assisting an offender.
He was also remanded in custody - with his defence counsel also adding that "there are mental health difficulties".
Chloe Mitchell was last seen on CCTV in the early hours of Saturday June 3 in Ballymena town centre.
The discovery of remains was made at a flat in James Street, Ballymena yesterday evening.
