An arctic blast is on the way with a weather warning for freezing temperatures issued for the entire country.
A status yellow alert for low temperatures and ice will be in effect for the entire country from 9pm on Friday until 10am on Saturday.

Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather, says tonight will also be very cold as cold air moves down from the north.
