Now in its 21st year, Maths Week aims to demonstrate how maths is used in everyday life, from shopping and managing money to sport, science and technology.
Among the local activities is Puzzles in the Park at Monread Park in Naas, where families can complete mathematical challenges while walking through the park.
Schools across Kildare will also participate in classroom games, puzzles and problem-solving exercises throughout the week.
More than 500,000 people were expected to take part in Maths Week events across Ireland this year.
Maths Week coordinator Eoin Gill says the initiative encourages people to approach mathematics differently, helping students develop confidence and recognise its practical applications.
