The new Gardaí will be stationed in the county from later this month.
12 new Gardaí have been announced for Kildare.
The announcement was made by Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly during his appearance before the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee.
It came as he was forced to defend the force's spending on technology, after an overspend of €20 million was revealed.
Yesterday (8 October), it was revealed that Kildare North has the lowest number of Gardaí per capita nationally.
Fine Gael TD for Kildare North Joe Neville had raised the need for more Gardaí in Kildare north in response to recent antisocial issues which have affected communities in the constituency.
The new Gardaí will be stationed in the county from later this month.
