Its staff compliment will rise to 75 by 2026.
The number of people employed at the National Cyber Security Centre is to increase from 25 to 45 over the next 18 months.
Minister for Communications Eamon Ryan says that figure will increase to 75 within 5 years.
A number of additional measures have been announced by the government to strengthen the NCSC's efforts to respond to threats from cyber criminals.
They include re-advertising the role of Director of the NCSC at a salary of €184,000, in a move the government says reflects the scale and importance of the role.
