NIAC Meets Today To Discuss Covid 19 Booster Jabs For Healthcare Workers.

3,000 staff are on leave because of Covid related illnesses.

The National Immunisation Advisory Committee will meet today to consider booster vaccines for health care workers.

It comes as the number of health staff out of work due to Covid related illnesses has almost doubled to 3,500 in the past 10 days.

508 people were in public hospitals last night with Covid, while 93 are in ICU.

Meanwhile children return to school today following the mid-term, and the Chief Medical Officer's reminding parents to keep them home if they have symptoms.
