Off Duty Garda Injured Following Incident At Heuston Station

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident

Gardaí are investigating a public order incident that occurred at Heuston Station, Dublin 8, at approximately 6pm yesterday, 25th of September 2023.

An off-duty male Garda (20s) on his way to work engaged with a male who was involved in disorderly conduct.

The Garda was injured in the course of this incident and was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

Garda welfare services have been offered and put in place for the Garda.

A man (40s) was arrested and has since been charged in relation to the incident.

He is due to appear before a sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Tuesday, 26th of September 2023.
