It’s understood a child was also in the house at the time but wasn’t injured.
Gardai are investigating after a man died and two others were injured in an assault in West Dublin.
It happened in a housing estate in Blanchardstown.
Stephanie Rohan is at the scene with the latest:
"The house where this assault happened remains sealed off here this morning at the end of a cul de Sac in Ashfield Park.
At around 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon, gardai were called to the scene where they found three people with serious injuries.
One of them – a man in his 40s was takes to James Hospital where he later passed away.
The two others a man and a woman in their 20s were taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
It’s understood a child was also in the house at the time but wasn’t injured.
Gardai say a post mortem on the man who died will direct the course of their investigation but for now they are not looking for anyone else as part of their inquiries."
