Online bank Revolut has launched a new version of its app which includes joint accounts.
Customers will be allowed to create an extra account within the Revolut app to be jointly owned by two people – whether they are partners, family members or friends.
People will not need to share the same address in order to open a joint account with Revolut.
The new version of the app will also include a group chat function to allow customers to exchange messages about payments.
Last week, Revolut said that it had issued Irish IBANs to more than two million Irish customers.
Revolut also announced plans last month to begin providing car insurance in Ireland and has recently started offering loans and credit cards.
