Kildare Town has been rocked by the death of a young man, who died yesterday at Naas General Hospital after he was seriously assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is understood that an altercation occurred on a bus before later unfolding at Magee Terrace, next to the Garda Station.
The man was found lying on the ground and Kfm understands that he suffered severe head injuries.
His condition deteriorated and he passed away yesterday.
Locals have said Ryan was a "gentle soul" with "big friendly smile", while another individual described him as a "true gentleman".
Another person who knew Ryan said he was the "smiliest nicest boy" and that she "never seen him not laughing or smiling".
Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
They are asking anyone who was in the Magee Terrace area of Kildare Town between 2am and 4am on Sunday to come forward.
