An additional 77 were arrested for drink or drug driving.
Gardaí have confirmed that more than 1,700 drivers were caught speeding during the first three days of the May Bank Holidays Roads Policing Operation.
The nationwide operation, which began on Thursday morning, has also seen 77 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, along with over 200 drivers detected using mobile phones or not wearing seatbelts.
Gardaí say there have been no road fatalities during the period so far, with the total number of deaths on Irish roads this year standing at 55.
The operation will continue until Tuesday morning, urging motorists to slow down, avoid distractions, and never drive under the influence.
