Over 400 people are currently in prison for sexual offences.
According to the Irish Prison Service, a similar number are behind bars for murder and other homicide crimes.

The Irish Prison Service's latest figures show 3,109 people are in custody, after being sentenced by the courts.
424 are in jail for sex offences.
Noeline Blackwell, from Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, says that's a low number compared to the number of offences.
Rape survivor Debbie Cole is calling for minimum jail sentences for sex crimes.
