The number of loans for cars rose by 27%, while the amount of home improvement loans increased by 28%.
Over €480 million has been given out for nearly 50,000 personal loans in the first quarter of this year, a 25% increase year-on-year.
That's according to figures from the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland’s Personal Loan Report.
