PBP: Data Centre Development Plans Should Be Paused, Pending National Grid Up-Grade.

Centres are currently using around 11% of all power generated in Ireland.

Any further plans to build data centres in Ireland should be scrapped, until the national grid can cope with the energy demand.

Thats according to People Before Profit, who'll table their Climate Emergency Measures Bill today in Daíl.
