The party’s lengthy motion states Israel is guilty of multiple breaches of international law.

People Before Profit has tabled a motion in the Dáil calling for sanctions on Israel and for Shannon Airport to be closed to the US military.

The party’s lengthy motion states Israel is guilty of multiple breaches of international law.

It also calls for all US military aircraft and troop carriers to be stopped from landing at Shannon Airport immediately.

The motion is likely to be defeated by a Government counter motion, which it says it's bringing because the People Before Profit motion omits any mention of Hamas.

Speaking in the Dail, People Before Profit TD Paul Murphy accused Taniaste Michael Martin of taking part in a propaganda exercise in Israel last week:
