Over 20,000 people have pledged spare rooms or whole properties to those fleeing the Russian invasion.
Of those, 4,000 have registered fully vacant homes.
The Irish Red Cross and the Defence Forces will begin phoning them today,and it estimates about 8,500 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Ireland.
It will begin its process of assessing and allocating vacant properties to new-arrivals this week, with the aim of filling spare bedrooms over the next three weeks.
Property valuers will be arranging appointments with homeowners this week, to assess their vacant house for incoming refugees.
Businesses are also getting involved with a new website Pyrit.ie, offering discounted products to those getting set up in Ireland.
People who have offered accommodation will be put through a Garda vetting process within the next 3 weeks.
