The 5 daymoving average of cases has increased by 98% in the past week.

The Restaurant's Association of Ireland will meet with members of Government later over the plan for the reopening of indoor dining.

Ministers are expected to make a final decision tomorrow:

Mairead Cleary reports:

"If this plan is allowed to go ahead, it will see indoor dining return to restaurants and pubs from Monday for people who have been fully vaccinated against the severe effects of Covid-19, or recently recovered from the virus.

Representatives from the sector want normal trading hours to resume, while also wanting a proposal time limit to be excluded.

It comes as the country's five-day moving average of Covid-19 cases has increased by more than 98 percent in the past week.

Last night, Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan said to people who are fully vaccinated to continue to enjoy socialising, however those who aren't should continue to meet people outdoors. "
