RTÉ Is Spending Over A Quarter Of A Million Euro A Year On Clothes For Staff

Over €128,000 was spent in Arnotts alone.

RTÉ is spending more than a quarter of a million euro a year on clothes for its staff.

Over the past three and a half years, the broadcasters' wardrobe department spent more than 128 thousand euro in Arnotts alone.

The costs acquired by the Sunday Independent, found almost 2 thousand euro was spent on clothes from the fast fashion site Shein since 2021 - mostly for the kids' programme News2day.

RTÉ says clothes are a key part of programme decision-making, and make a huge impression on viewers.
