A second helpline is being opened this morning
Sinn Fein says there needs to be complete confidence in the EU Digital Covid Cert.
It follows some reports the cert wasn’t being fully checked at airports yesterday, when non-essential international travel resumed.
The cert shows if people are fully vaccinated, have recovered from covid or have a negative test.
Sinn Fein’s Transport Spokesperson, Darren O’Rourke, says confidence is needed in the system.
A second helpline for the EU Digital Covid Certificate is being opened this morning to help keep up with demand for support.
High waiting times were reported on the phoneline yesterday as people were looking for issues with their pass to be sorted.
The new number is said to have much more capacity, and can be reached on 1800 807 008.
