Staff At Tara Mines Voting On Temporary Closure Agreement Today

The affected staff are voting today on a set of proposals, relating to pay and conditions, and brokered at the Workplace Relations Committee.

Staff at Tara Mines will vote today on an agreement reached between Boliden management and unions in relation to the temporary closure of the facility.

The company announced in June it will temporarily suspend production and exploration operations, resulting in the temporary lay-off of 650 employees.

The affected staff are voting today on a set of proposals, relating to pay and conditions, and brokered at the Workplace Relations Committee.
