It's understood a couple came forward to his team with the allegation.

Straffan resident, Conor McGregor is looking to introduce new evidence alleging that another man assaulted Nikita Hand on the night she had been drinking with him.

It's understood a couple came forward to his team with the allegation following November's civil trial which found the MMA fighter had assaulted Nikita Hand in the Beacon Hotel in 2018.

If the Court of Appeal considers the evidence to be credible, it could lead to a retrial.
