The Supreme Court has ruled Tipperary farmer Patrick Quirke's conviction for the murder of Bobby Ryan still stands, and his application for a re-trial has been dismissed.

In March, the court ruled a warrant to search Patrick Quirke's computer was unlawful.
However today, a seven judge panel unanimously dismissed the application for a retrial submitted by Quirke's lawyers.
