It's thought there are plans being made for the Taoiseach to meet with the US President in the coming months.
Micheal Martin's St Patrick's Day visit to the White House was cancelled after he tested positive for Covid-19.
The Taoiseach is due to visit the US again in September, where it's thought he could meet with Joe Biden.
Political Correspondent, Sean Defoe, who's in Washington, says there was also an expectation that President Biden would announce details of an official visit to Ireland.
