A teenage boy has died following a two-car collision in County Cork.
The crash, involving six people, happened on the M8 at Ballybeg in Mitchelstown, County Cork at about 1 o'clock this morning.
A passenger of one of the cars, a teenage boy, died from his injuries.
The driver, another teenage boy and three young passengers were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car, a woman in her 30s, was also rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The scene remains closed for a technical examination, with local diversions in place, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
A Garda spokesperson says Gardaí interacted with one of the vehicles before the incident and therefore, it's been referred to GSOC.
