A teenager has died in road traffic collision in Longford.
It's emerged the teenager killed yesterday, had lost his older brother in a road tragedy just over a year ago.
The 19 year old was hit by a bus as he walked along Convent Road in Longford town at around 6 o'clock yesterday evening and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Irish Independent reports his 23 year old brother was killed in a single vehicle crash in 2022.
The road remains closed this morning for a Garda forensic collision investigation.
The young man's body has been taken to Mullingar Regional Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out today.
