Figures from the Health and Safety Authority reveal there were a total of 53 workplace related deaths in 2020.
28 of those who lost their lives were self-employed, 12 were employees and 13 were non-workers.

The HSA says more people accessed the agency's free risk assessment tools at BeSmart.ie last year.
