Donald Trump is expected to visit President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin next week.
It's thought the US President will fly into Dublin on 12 September, with a trip to the Phoenix Park planned, before travelling to Doonbeg for the Irish Open golf tournament.
The Irish Independent reports their meeting will be a "brief courtesy visit" in Áras an Uachtaráin, not on the scale of visits by former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Earlier this year, during the Taoiseach's visit to the Oval Office on St Patrick's Day, journalists raised her criticisms of his war in Iran, to which Mr Trump referred to Ms Connolly as "he."
