The child is presumed dead by Gardaí.
The search for a young boy, who hasn't been seen in up to four years, is continuing in North Dublin today.

Tusla says it previously engaged with the boy and his family, but this ended in 2020, and they had no reason to be concerned for his welfare again until last month.

Gardaí say there's no update in the investigation so far, but they're keeping an open mind into what may have happened.
