It comes as a new study by researchers at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland revealed waste of unwanted medication by patients and pharmacies.
The value of unused and out-of-date medication each year has been estimated at over €37.5million.

It has estimated the average cost of each item of waste medicine at €20.23, based on wholesale prices.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice from the RCSI, Dr Aisling O'Leary said "it's the first estimate that has been obtained ".
"The main source of medicine waste is patient-generated. Often as we found when patients die they [they're family] come to the pharmacy with large sacks of medicine, it actually represents waste generated perhaps over many years."
