Incident happened on Friday, 9th September
A woman has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two children in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath.
The two year boy and five year old girl died in a fatal car fire in Lacken, on Friday, 9th of September.
Their mother was in the car at the time of the incident, and was treated for hospital for her injuries.
The arrested female is being detained at a midlands Garda Station.
An Garda Síochána have stated they will be making no further comment at this time.
