Gardai are investigating after the body of an elderly woman was found in Co Sligo.
The discovery was made at a property in Ballymote at around 2pm yesterday.
The body of the woman, who was in her 70s, has been taken to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
Gardai say the results will determine the course of the investigation.
