A forensic examination is taking place at a house in Cork city after a woman was stabbed to death last night.
The victim in her late 30s was pronounced dead by emergency services at Cardinal Court in Wilton after 10pm.
Gardaí arrested a man in his early 40s at the scene.
The woman’s body has been taken from the house to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out.
