Charlene Masterson says the ordeal has had a major impact, but she's now trying to move on
A woman who waived her anonymity to speak out about sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father says no sentence will ever be enough for what he did to her.
Charlene Masterson was 18 when her father began to trick her into performing sex acts on him.
Last month, David Masterson, originally from Tallaght in west Dublin, was jailed for 17 years for the blackmail and rape of his daughter over a 7 and a half year period.
Charlene, who's now 32, says she won't let the terrible things that happened to her destroy her life
