It is with great sadness that we announce the peacefull passing of Daniel (Dan) Murphy on the 23rd August 2026 surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Beloved husband of Sarah (Sadie) (nee Harrison) and a much loved father of Marie, John, Deirdre, Geraldine, Bridget and Regina.
Daniel will be very sadly missed by his sons-in-law John, Paul, Jimmy, Seamus and Pauric, his cherished grandchildren Àine, Sarah, Caithlin, Daniel, Shaun and Sophie and by his nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Predeceased by his loving parents, brothers and sisters.
May Daniel Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his home in Old Grange (eircode W34 V3O4) on Tuesday evening from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm.
Removal on Wednesday morning at 9:10am arriving St Peter and Paul's Church Monasterevin for Requiem Mass at 10am.
Funeral afterwards to St Evin's Cemetery.

Daniel was a dearly loved husband, father and grandfather who will be remembered with great affection by all who knew him. His passing leaves a great sadness for his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to thank you for your support and understanding at this sad and difficult time.
