Monasterevin’s Claire Melia registered 12 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds for her Spanish side Ferrol in last night’s EuroCup Basketball Final first leg.
Ferrol lost by three points 78-75 to French side Villanueve, however remain in contention ahead of the second leg.
That game takes place next Wednesday evening.
Claire Melia made history by becoming the first Irish woman to play in a European Basketball cup final.
