The news has been confirmed by the IRFU.
The IRFU have confirmed that Adam Griggs will step down as Ireland women's head coach following next month's test matches against the USA and Japan.
He will be replaced by Greg McWilliams.
43 year old McWilliams was assistant coach to the women's team for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups and the successful 2013 Six Nations campaign.
