The hearing is investigating claims made by trainer Jim Bolger that there's doping issues in Irish racing
The Curragh Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board has today faced calls for it to be disbanded at an Oireachtas Agriculture Committee hearing.
The hearing is investigating claims made by trainer Jim Bolger that there's doping issues in Irish racing and that it faces a "Lance Armstrong moment".
Bolger declined an invitation to appear at the meeting on legal advice.
Independent T-D Michael Collins called for the I-H-R-B to be dismantled and replaced by a new independent body to police the sport.
Horse Racing Ireland chief executive, Brian Kavanagh, said all winners in Ireland are currently tested and that out-of-competition testing has been increased.
