Co-captain Sam Monaghan has won her race to be fit
Aoife Wafer is not part of Ireland's squad for Sunday's final Rugby World Cup pool game against New Zealand, but co-captain Sam Monaghan has won her race to be fit.
Monaghan picked up a hip injury in last week's win over Spain, but she's been named to start in the pack, with co-captain Edel McMahon returning to the starting 15.
Neve Jones, Ruth Campbell, Brittany Hogan, Aoibheann Reilly and Beibhinn Parsons also come in to start.
While Six Nations Player of the Championship Wafer is yet to feature at the World Cup, as he continues to recover from knee surgery.
