There was drama at Sullivan and Lambe Park, where Drogheda United and Waterford played out a six-goal thriller, finishing 3-3.
The results leave Shamrock Rovers top on 40 points, followed by Bohemians on 34 and St Patrick's Athletic on 32.
Dundalk sit fourth on 29 points, with Shelbourne fifth on 26.
At the bottom, Waterford remain rooted to the foot of the table on 11 points, while Sligo Rovers are ninth on 19.
