Naas clubman and former Kildare captain Eoin Doyle has announced his retirement from inter-county football.
The announcement was made this afternoon, in a statement by Kildare GAA.
The statement read:
"Eoin has had a distinguished career, representing his County with honour and distinction, on and off the field of play.
He has shown incredible commitment, discipline and outstanding leadership skills and has been someone that his fellow players have always looked up to.
His consistent high standards on the field of play have seen him clock up over one hundred competitive appearances in the white jersey."
Doyle started his Kildare career in 2012 and went on to captain the team from 2016 to 2019.
He also represented Ireland in the International Rules series in 2015 and was nominated for an All-Star in 2018.
On the club scene, he has recently captained Naas to county titles in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
