The former Scotland striker scored 124 goals in 184 games for the Glasgow club, including hat-tricks in the 1972 Scottish Cup and 1974 League Cup finals.
Deans was nicknamed Dixie after former England and Everton striker Dixie Dean, due to his goalscoring exploits.
He hit 89 goals in 198 appearances for Motherwell.
