He's been given permission to have a medical at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are finalising a two year deal for 35 year old Danny Welbeck.

The Brighton striker's been given permission to have a medical at Stamford Bridge and is set to link up with his new club in Hong Kong next week

It signals a move by new head coach Xabi Alonso to add more experience.

Chelsea have also been linked with midfield veterans Granit Xhaka and Jordan Henderson in recent weeks.
