Long-time Cheltenham Festival favourite Sir Gino has been ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up a ligament infection.
The five-year-old was forced to miss an intended run at Newbury on Saturday with a "small wound" but that injury has now become infected.
Sir Gino is a perfect five from five in Britain, winning twice over fences and was as short as 8-to-11 for the Arkle Chase on day one of the Festival in March.
