He will once again link up with Keith Andrews
Damien Duff will once again link up with Keith Andrews after Brentford confirmed the former Ireland international has been appointed assistant manager at the Premier League club.
Duff has been out of the game since leaving his role as Shelbourne manager a year ago, but Andrews, who enjoyed a successful first season in charge of the Bees with a ninth-place finish in the league, has moved to bring Duff to the London club.
The pair worked together in the Irish coaching set-up and Duff recently spent time at the club after being invited over by Andrews.
The 47-year-old led Shelbourne to a league title in 2024, but after struggling to find the same form the following campaign, surprisingly stepped away from the role.
Duff, who was a centurion for Ireland and earned two Premier League medals with Chelsea, described winning the league with Shelbourne as the pinnacle of his career.
